A little bit about me now...
After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá in Brazil, I came to America in the winter of 2005 to intern at Cultural Homestay International (CHI), one of the largest student exchange organizations in the US. Starting as an IT specialist, I soon became a Computer Systems Analyst. Today, I am considered the "to-go" person in the CHI's computer department.
One of my primary objectives in the US was to earn a master’s degree, which I did in the summer of 2011. I received a Master's degree in Computer Science with concentration in Computing for Life Sciences from the San Francisco State University (SFSU). In my graduate studies, I focused on Bioinformatics research and my thesis title is MS2DB++: Disulfide Bond Determination by Combining Efficient Search and Machine Learning.
Finally, I am a proud coffee grower (in the state of Minas Gerais - Brazil). I also trade stocks and options in the Brazilian Bovespa stock exchange.
